Holland Park Engagement Session: Stephen & Ee Laine
Have you been to Holland Park? It’s such a gorgeous park and so peaceful. It’s not as big as some of the Royal Parks but that’s one of its draws for me.
It’s right in the middle of Notting Hill, tucked away, as much as you can tuck away a park! The entrance is misleading and makes you think you’ve walked into a little garden, but if you perseevere and walk through, you get to a beautiful tree lined path that leads you to the Japanese Garden in the middle of the park.
Stephen and Ee Laine won an engagement shoot with me at the London Wedding Fair at the London ExCel and they chose Holland Park as the location for said shoot.
They visit Holland Park often and wanted to used it for their shoot. When you’re thinking of a location for your engagement shoot, I definitely recommend thinking of a location or venue that has meaning to you. Engagement shoots are a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera and to build a relationship with your photographer before your wedding day. Getting to see how they work, and giving them a chance to get an insight into your relationship will benefit you both on your wedding day.
For Stephen and Ee Laine’s shoot we took a leisurely stroll through Holland Park, stopping every so often to take photos, before finishing at the Orangery. There are a few peacocks in Holland Park and you can often hear them before you seem them.
On this day we were really lucky. Not only did we hear them, but they photo bombed several of the photos! Ee Laine wasn’t sure what to expect when one of the peacocks decided to shake a tail feather and let his feelings be known!
Below I’ve shared a few photos from their shoot. It may or may not include a peacock or two!
